One of my favorite moments from this wedding was watching Kelly's father through the cabin window where she was getting ready. I watched him for a moment wandering around by himself. Looking at the ground. I could tell he was reflecting back on the years. In just a few short hours he would walk his little girl down the aisle to give her away. I could see the emotion behind his eyes. And then he looked up and saw us through the glass. A big smile played across his face. Today was going to be beautiful....
On a chilly February afternoon Kelly and Steve said "I do" in the rustic barn at Granite Creek Vineyards in Chino Valley, Arizona. Surrounded by their friends, family, twinkle lights and some dusty bottles of wine they started the rest of their lives together.
I just have to say I love winter weddings! Maybe it's the way that everyone draws together for warmth but they always seem to have a "closeness" about them that I enjoy. This wedding was exactly that way! The night went on with delicious food and seven different pies for desert! Did I mention there were seven?! Rhymes with heaven! ;) After a couple of hilarious toasts (remember Steve it's the last time you'll ever have the "upper hand") the night came to a close with the first dances.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Schon. May you be blessed with many many years of happiness.
