September in Granite Creek Vineyards is always among my favorite times of the year to shoot there. Summer still lingers in the green grass and in the leaves of the trees in as fall tiptoes in. The vines are only beginning to be tipped with orange and there is a crispness to the night air that draws family and friends closer together on the dance floor. Sarina had picked out the most lovely sunflowers for the bouquets. I think they must have been good luck! For the first time in a long time the day was beautifully sunny. Royal purple perfectly set off the pops of yellow, while boots completed their country styled wedding attire.
Sarina and Stan were married in front of family and friends that evening as the sun dropped low on the horizon. I remember stepping to the back of the ceremony to get a pull back and quietly taking a moment to look at the guests. I could feel the love of everyone there witnessing the marriage. A contagious joy spilled over from Sarina and Stan to everyone they hugged and thanked for being there. I have no doubt they will continue to go forward in their lives throwing kindness around like confetti.
